New vacancy: Business Analyst (Junior to Mid-Level)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a personable and confident Business Analyst to join our team. You’ll work across multiple projects and industries, gaining exposure to a wide variety of business challenges and solutions. You’ll be supported by project managers, developers, and other BAs, but will also have the autonomy to manage your own workload and client relationships.

The role

Job Title: Business Analyst (Junior to Mid-Level)

Location: Leeds city centre (Hybrid – office presence expected 1-2 days per week and at client site on occasion)

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, based on experience

Reporting to: Head of Business Change

Key responsibilities

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients at all levels, confidently facilitating workshops, kick-off meetings, and requirements sessions both in-person and virtually. 
  • Requirements Gathering: Elicit, document, and manage business requirements using interviews, workshops, surveys, and process mapping techniques. 
  • Process Analysis: Map as-is processes, identify pain points and gaps, and support the redesign of to-be processes using BPMN and other methodologies. 
  • Business Case Support: Contribute to business case creation and system selection processes, ensuring recommendations are tailored to client needs. 
  • Workshop Facilitation: Prepare, run, and document outputs from workshops, adapting your approach for in-person and virtual settings. 
  • Presentation: Create and deliver engaging presentations using PowerPoint and other tools, ensuring key messages are clearly communicated. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, developers, and other BAs to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of BA ways of working, templates, and best practices within Fluid. 

What we're looking for

  • Experience: Previous experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management is essential. Some background in consulting or working across multiple projects is ideal. 
  • Technical: Good understanding process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Miro) and strong Power Point skills, able to deliver complicated information into impactful, visually appealing slides. Experience with CRM/ERP projects or data migration is desirable but not essential. 
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present to clients and stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Personality: Personable, approachable, and collaborative. Able to work independently but thrives in a supportive team environment.  
  • Location: Based in or within commutable distance to Leeds, with flexibility for occasional UK-wide travel.
